SUNNY: BOOK REVIEW - "Own the Wind" by Kristen Ashley

SUMMARY from Goodreads
Tabitha Allen has a not-so-secret crush on Parker "Shy" Cage. Shy thinks he knows the path Tabby's on and it isn't a good one. So he decides to teach her a lesson to lead her to the right path.

Unfortunately, he was wrong and his actions wound Tabby, breaking her heart. It's Tabby who then teaches Shy a lesson about casting judgment and Shy Cage learns what it feels like to be invisible. But when tragedy strikes and Tabby's heart is broken again, Shy does what he can in the background to help. Trying to forget her heartbreak, Tabby finds herself in danger. To keep it secret from her biker family, the Chaos Motorcycle Club, she calls Shy to rescue her. But when she lets him back in, she gets much more than she bargained for

REVIEW
If you are already a fan of Motorcycle Man, this book is going to make you giddy.  All of the beloved characters are back to introduce us to the stories of the Chaos series - Tack, Tyra, Dog, Brick, Hop and Lanie.  This is the story of Shy and Tabby.  When I read the first line, my heart did a little jump.  I was so happy to back with these folks.  Author Kristen Ashley does that.  Maybe that is her superpower - to make her characters so beloved, it feels like coming home with each new book.

This story is a little different from the others.  It is a slow burn.  It takes place over years and it is the evolution of the relationship between Tabby and Shy.  There is a lot that happens from the time Tabitha Allen is sixteen to the time she is twenty-three and Shy plays and increasing important role in all of it.  This book is about recognizing the things that are important to you and having the determination to take a stand to attain it.  Since Tabby is the Tack's daughter (head of Chaos MC), she is "untouchable".  Shy is the guy who you want as your best friend, covering your back, but also the manwhore you do NOT wanting dating your sister.  When Tabby and Shy realize that this is "right", they have to stand up to the people they love most to give their relationship a chance.  It is one thing to stand up to your enemies; it takes a whole other level of courage to stand up to your friends and family.

IN A NUTSHELL
This book prepares you for the journey.  Bring on the Chaos!
